How to set up and enjoy your CuddleCo soft play
With just a few key elements, you can transform everyday moments into active, confidence-building play that sparks imagination. Whether you’re starting your first set or adding to your collection, here’s a simple guide to get the most from your CuddleCo soft play.
Choose the right pieces for your child’s age
Every stage of development brings new ways to play.
To make things simple, we recommend choosing pieces that match your child’s current stage, supporting safe, confident movement as they grow.
As a guide:

12 months+: Soft shapes, ball pits and low-level climbing

24 months+: Balance beams and more structured movement

3 years+: Larger set that encourages imaginative and active play
0 Hours: Carefully unpack your soft play shapes and lay them out flat
When your soft play arrives, it’s been carefully compressed to make delivery easier.
Gently remove each piece from its packaging and lay it flat in a clean, dry space.
Give the foam time to fully expand - this takes 72 hours. This step is important, as it helps each piece return to its intended shape and firmness.
A little patience here makes all the difference later.
48 Hours: You can add the soft snug covers
Once the foam has fully expanded, you’re ready to add the covers.
Slide each piece into its cover carefully, smoothing as you go to create a neat, even finish.
For the best result:

Wait at least 48 hours before fitting

Make sure all zips are fully closed and tucked underneath
The result should feel smooth, secure and ready for play.
72 Hours: They’re ready to climb, crawl, stack and explore
Start with a soft base like a tumble mat, then build around it with shapes that encourage movement:

Stack cubes for stepping and balance

Add arches for crawling and climbing

Introduce a ball pit for sensory play
There’s no “right” way to set it up. Let your space evolve as your child grows in confidence.
Top tips
Designed for real family life, each piece is made to be easy to maintain.

Zips are intentionally positioned on the underside to limit access to the foam. Ensure all zips are fully tucked away and out of reach before use.

Minor creases can be eased with gentle heat from a hairdryer
